I stumbled across RavensNezt amazing work on Facebook and I knew it had to be put out there more. Her work I found is very unique and one of a kind.
“Living in the Pacific Northwest is a challenge due to weather and the mountainous region, but it is the most magnificent area in which to live because of its sheer beauty and its diverse cultures.
What I find the most interesting of all ….is our Northwest Native American culture. Much of my work is inspired by native cultures and other indigenous cultures from around the world. My grandmother once told me of a Native American link in my family heritage….as best as I can determine it is most likely Algonquin, and perhaps Ojibwa. Although I cannot lay claim to being a tribal member, I strive to produce artwork that honors all indigenous tribes. None of my work is “Native Made”. My work is definitely inspired by all Indigenous Peoples.
Art has always been my passion, so for me this new venture just expanded my interest and research into oor Indigenous cultures. I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I do making them”.
Also At the end of September She is donating 50% of her proceeds to a friend who lost everything in hurricane Harvey in Houston. Some people have purchased the medicine bags or amulet pouches some have purchased other things and half my proceeds will go to help this one family. Just think of the impact we could all have on these people. So many lost so much. It’s a small move on my part, but hopefully it will help relieve the burden of recovery.
